In the Dão Region, as in the Portuguese Wine portal (clubevinhosportugueses.pt) he says that in Dão, Wine results from the love between men and the land.

Dão is the name of the river and the region that spreads through gently undulating slopes, green and golden in the will of the sun and where wine, as in old loves, has been born for a long time. It is known that the history of wine in the region is millenary and that practically since the remote years of Nationality, 12th century, wine has a recognized value and importance in Dão.

This wine "Experimentum Syrah 2016" results from a production located in the Serra da Estrela area, whose vineyards are located in the Dão wine region, where it has been highlighted by the emergence of some of the best national wines, holders of great quality and elegance.

We believe that from the vineyards where this "Experimentum Syrah 2016" wine comes from, benefit from its history, its contrasts, through its vineyards surrounded by a set of mountains that protect them from outside influences, which provide these Wines with unique characteristics of aroma and flavor.

The Experimentum Wines are the result of a terroir of excellence (Soil Type: Granitic), where the strains of Quinta Madre de Água - Serra da Estrela are located, many of which already existed when the land was purchased and exploration started, such as the vineyards at Quinta de Santo António and at Quinta da Regada, aged between 15 and 40 years.

Experimentum Syrah Wine 2016 is vinified by the traditional process with prolonged maceration in stainless steel vats at controlled fermentation temperatures.

Tasting Notes: The Experimentum Syrah Wine 2016 is characterized by a purple color wrapped in violet reflections and wraps gracefully with the tannins, granting a medium body with light acidity. In the glass, this wine invades the senses through its aroma plum with minty touch composing a beautiful bouquet to the nose. Typically fruity where the spice occupies a prominent place, it provides a memorable pleasure to those who consume it. Altitude wine, Dão Serrano.

Harmonization: The Experimentum Syrah Wine 2016 goes very well with red meat dishes and strong cheeses.

Final note: We recommend that the bottles, while not being consumed, remain lying in an airy and dark place, between 12 and 13ºC and with relative humidity close to 60%.
