The Cismeira Reserva 2019 is exuberant and tranquil in color. Spontaneous aroma leaving no one indifferent to the organoleptic capabilities that emerge from the soul and authenticity of Douro wine. TASTING NOTES
Lemon colored wine. In the nose, the first impact is given by the subtlety and complexity of the stage in wood, with slightly sweet notes that contrast with a more mineral and exotic fruit profile. In the mouth, its high acidity matches perfectly with the unctuosity, which makes the wine with a very persistent and appetizing finish.

WINE YEAR
The year was characterized by large temperature oscillations and lower than normal annual precipitation, considering it a dry year. The climatic conditions led, in an initial phase, to a slight advance of the vegetative cycle in relation to the average of the last 5 years, which was attenuated throughout the cycle. Despite the occurrence of high rainfall during the month of April, the climatic evolution registered afterwards, contributed to an excellent phytosanitary quality of the bunches at harvest.

VINIFICATION
Grapes from the Vale d ́Açor estate, located on the plateau of São João da Pesqueira at an average altitude of 600 meters. Manual and careful harvesting for 15 kgs boxes between the last week of August and the first week of September. Pressing of the whole bunches at low pressure, the must after pressing was clarified by decanting at low temperature. This was followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature controlled French oak barrels at 16°C for 20 days.

AGING
50% of the blend was aged in new French oak barrels and 50% in used French oak barrels, in contact with the fine lees with weekly bâtonnage for 10 months until bottling in July 2020.
