Douro Region
After a viticultural year marked by large temperature fluctuations and with lower than normal annual rainfall in the Douro region, despite the high levels of rainfall that occurred during the month of April, this year was characterized by a dry year . In this way, with the objective of not allowing the maturation of our white grape plantations that make up Pata D`Urso Branco 2019 to advance too much, we started harvesting the grapes at Quinta da Furada on August 29, 2019.
The challenge for our team was more demanding, as we were discovering new production realities. New plots of old white grape varieties, planted at Quinta da Furada, in Ervedosa do Douro.
In mostly schist soils, with various exposures and variations in altitudes, he added a deeper work of knowledge in order to try to understand the different characteristics and evolution of the maturations that each plot was demonstrating.Ingredientes : Castelão e Aragonês.
Tasting Note: Pata D`Urso Branco 2019 is a young wine as the year indicates. In the nose, it has a complex aroma. Mineral, with very ripe fruit and a slight toasted touch, whatever gives it elegance.
In the mouth, very ripe fruit, very voluminous and elegant, with a natural acidity that keeps us a long, balanced and persistent finish.
