D.O.C. Colares - Wines from Lisbon
The wine region of Colares, integrated in the Wine Region of Lisbon, a little further away from Lisbon than its neighbor and competitor, the also very noble region of Carcavelos, is limited to the West by the Atlantic Ocean and to the South by the Serra de Sintra, the Colares Demarcated Region comprises the parishes of Colares, São João das Lampas and São Martinho, in the municipality of Sintra, being a Controlled Denomination of Origin since 1908, the westernmost Demarcated Region of Continental Europe and the smallest region producing still wines from Portugal.
This Patrão Diogo White 2018 Wine is a tribute wine to an ancestor of the family.
Result of a blend with the grape varieties Fernão Pires, Arinto and Seara Nova, from the clay-limestone soils of the Colares - Sintra region.
Tasting Notes: Patrão Diogo White Wine 2018 is presented in the glass with a maritime freshness, with floral and citrus traces. This wine did not have contact with wood, but it expresses the most "raw" potential of the grape varieties.
Grapes/grape varieties: Fernão Pires, Arinto and Seara Nova.
