Quinta do Sobral is a wine producer in line with our identity and that's why you find it here, we also appreciate the family nature from granddaughters, daughters, father and grandfather who are still involved in the day-to-day of the art of making good wine from the Dão Region.
To learn more about Quinta do Sobral click here, now about this Wine, in the town of Santar in the Dão Wine Region, produces Quinta do Sobral Encruzado White Wine 2022, the result of a harvest that took place in the first week of September 2022. The grapes were harvested manually, into small boxes of 18Kg. The grape variety harvested is only encruzado, therefore a monovarietal. The grapes were completely de-stemmed and immediately pressed. The resulting must was transferred to new 250lt French oak barrels, where it fermented with indigenous yeasts for 6 months. Concreting was not carried out during fermentation, as the wine itself was already very fatty and complex.

Harmonization: This is a highly gastronomic wine, Quinta do Sobral Encruzado White Wine 2022 is very good company with creamy risottos, meals with scallops, shrimp and fish with more texture, such as sea bass or monkfish. Roasted tubers, a simple “al Fredo” pasta or the classic French veal stew can also be a successful combination.
Final note: All Quinta do Sobral wines are made with indigenous yeasts, without chemical or mechanical intervention. Therefore, it is subject to deposits and/or formation of crystals, as it is a natural product.
