Designation: DOC (Controlled Denomination of Origin) Trás-os-Montes, Portugal.
Location: Portugal; Chaves - Oura, Selhariz, Faiões and Vila Verde da Raia parishes.
Soil: Schistous origins, with average contents of clay and granitic origins with sandy texture Climate: Mild with continental characteristics.
Varieties: Touriga-Nacional.
Winemaking: Manual harvest by grape variety. Light crushing of the berries followed by gentle pressing. Static clarification. Fermentation with controlled temperature in stainless steel vat followed by stage on thin dregs until the end of February. Formation of the lot. Light filtration and stabilization by cold before bottling.
Alc./vol: 12%.
Enologists: Rui Cunha / Sérgio Alves.
Tasting Notes: Colour: Salmon. Aroma: Thin and elegant, with good intensity, recalling aromas of red fruits and candy. Palate: Dry, delicately creamy with crispy acidity that gives it balance and freshness. Good texture and mouth aroma reminiscent of red fruits. Persistent finish.
Serving Suggestion: It should be appreciated at a temperature between 10-12ºC. Great as an aperitif. It goes well with italian food and seafood dishes.
