This Howard’s Folly Sonhador Red 2015 is a red wine from the Alentejo region.
A blend that combines the red grape varieties Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Aragonês and Touriga Nacional.
Howard’s Folly Sonhador Red 2015 is a wine that results from the harvest carried out in Vineyards located in Portalegre to the northeast of Alentejo in the granitic foothills of the Serra de São Mamede.
In the production of Howard’s Folly Sonhador Red 2015, the final result is obtained by combining fresh high-altitude grapes and granite soils that combine to give wines of great finesse with structure, intense aromas and freshness.
At harvest, the grapes are selected with rigorous criteria, manually and transported in 15 kg boxes with a yield of 4-5 tons / hectare.
Winemaking is characterized by a process that begins with destemming, soft crushing, fermentation in small batches of 4 tonnes in stainless steel tanks with regular pumps and delestage at temperatures 23-25 ° C.
Finally, we highlight 9 months of oak barrels and bottling in June 2017.
