ALENTEJO REGION WINE
A very interesting wine, representative of a relevant Portuguese Wine Region, whose terroir is based on temperate Atlantic-Mediterranean climate, with clay soil, with temperate Atlantic-Mediterranean schist and granite blooms.
In trigonometry, tangent is the ratio (division, proportion) between the opposite and the adjacent sides at one of the sharp angles of a right triangle, but it is not from Mathematics that this Wine is inspired, it is another story.
The vineyard that is the origin of this Alentejo wine is integrated in Herdade Assentes de Baixo.
In the case of the plot that resulted in this blend stands out a particularity, is located in the geographical boundary between two municipalities, namely Cuba and Alvito.
Because the vineyard where the grapes are extracted almost bypass the line dividing the two municipalities, in the heart of the Alentejo plain, it was decided by the winemaker to call the wine TANGENTE (or tangent in English).
Grapes harvested manually in small boxes that allow the whole essence and character of the terroir to be preserved. Vinified in a stainless steel mill, aged for nine months in French and American oak barrels.!
Tasting Notes: In the mouth is velvety, round and soft, rich and "sweet tooth". Very nice, intense set, but balanced. With a good structure of tannins although smooth and balanced acidity.
Aroma of very ripe red fruits, with notes of vanilla, balanced and well-integrated with the wood. Some notes of sweet or macerated. Jam, plum and some spice
Grapes/varietes: SYRAHAlicante Bouschet AND Aragonez
Harmonization: The companion Red Meat, Baked, Dishes seasoned, cheeses and pates
Responsible for oenology: Manuel Vargas
Premiums achieved: Referenced and evaluated on the portal www.clubevinhosportugueses.pt

Eu diria antes um assombroso Vinho que não conhecia em Portugal.
Um blend típico do Alentejo.
This is Fabulous Wines, you guys at madeinportucale.com are to be congratulated. Bravo and Cheers.
I searched for Alentejo wines and saw that they were very popular, I didn't know they were also very good.
From my first order I met others and was very impressed with this blend from the Alentejo region.
