The Coimbra de Mattos family, in the parish of Galafura in Peso da Régua in the oldest demarcated wine region in the world, the Douro, decided to bottle Douro wines in the mid-1980s in a winery built in 1917.
This Quinta dos Mattos Reserve Red Wine 2021, vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation vats, followed by aging in oak casks, with an ideal temperature of 16-18ºC, resulting in a high quality wine produced from a mixture of grape varieties, including Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.
Grapes: Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.
Tasting note: This Douro blend, Quinta dos Mattos, reserve, red wine 2021, has a dark Ruby color, on the nose, we register a complex aroma of ripe fruits, with floral notes and some wood, in the mouth, it stands out flavors concentrated in the mouth, fruity, spices, fresh, ripe tannins and long finish.
