In a magical environement, just a few minutes from the city of Peso da Régua, lies the heart of the project, initially pictured on Forrester's map,  located in Lower Corgo in the District of Lamego. The Estate counts a total of 37ha, including 26ha of vines. ​Here, we can find the typical grapes from the Douro Region.

This Port Wine S. Leonardo Ruby Vintage 60 years, is produced from the grape varieties of the Douro Region, namely Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional.

As we know, Port Wine is a wine filled with emotion and magic. The origin of the "São Leonardo" brand began with Quintas da Costa and Poisa, where two families lived there, one on each farm, whose caretakers were brothers.

As there were no long-distance journeys at the time, the roads were very rudimentary. Thus, it was precisely in the middle of the road that they met, in the magnificent viewpoint of São Leonardo da Galafura, which inspired great poets, such as Miguel Torga, and continues today to enchant its visitors who visit the amazing viewpoint that inspired most of the poet's work. That is why the Port Wines "São Leonardo" represent, in a certain way, a meeting of brothers.

This Port Wine S. Leonardo Very Old 60 Years is a blend of two harvests with very distinctive characteristics: 1955, rainy Winter and hot Summer; 1958, rainy Summer and very hot Falls. The result; a very complete and complex wine with a very distinctive touch due to its ageing in American Oak.

Tasting Notes: This Port Wine S. Leonardo Very Old 60 Years is an endless aromas sequence. The palate is a full wine and luscious, very complex and an end of endless mouth. Dark greenish golden color. The scent features notes of roasting, honey, tobacco, apricot, nut, caramel and orange.
