We sent it back to the United States of America
[Last minute] August 2020 was a special month, news as always at madeinportucale.com and we returned to shipments to a territory that we missed and that is part of the history of our project.
When we launched version 1.0 of the web portal www.madeinportucale.com United States of America, Germany and the United Kingdom were the origin of the first orders.
In fact on the first day, the first orders were an order for olive oil made in Germany, and another for gin in the United States of America.
After being successful with the Portuguese Gin that we proudly promote and represent, our Portuguese Wines, Red, White, Rose, Sparkling and Port Wine followed.
For a long time it was the region of the world that most sent us, however, after a certain time, for reasons unrelated to the madeinportucale.com team, there was a change in the rules in North American territory.
During this time, we could only maintain a relationship with B2b [business to business] customers with agents, professional partners who in some way could continue to import our products.
Despite the impediment that lasted for some time, our sadness was overcome by the connection maintained with followers on social networks, and there were countless messages and emails asking for our products and asking how and when they could order for that destination.
Finally, recently as we announced first hand on Facebook, our online store operations have resumed again in the United States of America.
In spite of everything, now our B2c [Business to consumer] followers and customers have a new way to receive our products, jams, oils, preserves, olive oil, wines, liqueurs, gin, and other spirits at their doorstep.
This novelty is possible now from August (2020) with an international partnership that allows an estimated transit time of 15 to 25 weeks (approximately 3 weeks) with customs costs and delivery at the door included, it has some limitations, for now we can example send minimum 1 bottle (between 1 to 3 kg) and maximum 48 (70 kg.).
We are now back to resuming our temporarily suspended connection between Portugal and the United States of America, a relationship that, after all, is no longer new, reminds us of the history between both nations and Portuguese Wine, had this not been the case. Wine used in the celebration of the Independence of the United States of America.
It seems that since General George Washington there seems to be an American who has realized the importance of creating small comforts with original refinement.
Also on July 4, 1776, the toast of the United States of America was toasted and celebrated, with Portuguese wine, apparently a preference of Thomas Jefferson.
The Art of Flavours, from Portugal ... to the world, moreover now to the USA.
