The Harvests have already started in Portugal.

As you know, we are passionate about the world of Wine and the moment is one of celebration after a year of hard work in the fields, next to the vineyards.

Harvests here in Portugal are usually a time of hard work, but also of celebration. A long-awaited moment, feeling the adrenaline behind the scenes of the cellars and with our producers.

The experience of participating in the Harvest always leaves eternal memories. João dos Santos Alves shared with us that since he was a child, he has had the smell of freshly picked wine grapes very present in his mind.

This year, with climate change and due to a year in which the drought is making a big difference in agriculture, we are already seeing a great impact, namely with the very early start of harvesting in the Douro region.

Due to the drought and the high heat that occurred in Portugal between June, July and even August, producers have to preserve the quality of the grapes and, in this case, anticipate the beginning of the Harvest.

Even so, we are very optimistic and confident in another year of Harvests that will yield excellent results. It was like that in 2017, why not repeat the good results of that year in 2022 as well.
