Happy Father’s Day. Every day!

Father’s Day is celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that fathers and father figures make to the lives of their children. This day celebrates fatherhood and male parenting. So, we say Happy Father´s Day. Everyday! Doesn’t matter if it´s your father, your stepfather, your grandfather…. the important thing is being the male figure in your life that you want to say “Thank you for everything you have done! I love you”.

Although it is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide, in Portugal, Spain and Italy Father's Day is celebrated on March 19th, which is the Feast of St. Joseph who is the patron saint of fathers.

The idea of a special day to honour fathers and celebrate fatherhood was introduced from the United States. There, a woman called Sonora Smart Dodd was inspired by the American Mother's Day celebrations to plan a day to honour fathers. In the USA, Father's Day has been celebrated in June since 1910.
