The Portucale Motif #07

Black Friday once known only as the day after Thanksgiving is one of the biggest shopping holidays in the US and all over the world.

This year we decided that we would no longer participate in a typical black Friday and the two main reasons that are strongly connected with our values:

We work mainly with small-scale producers, in a logic of sustainability, and usually they are not able to participate in the typical price slashing. A small-scale producer manages their production activity mainly with a small company or their family workforce. Most working time is spent on agriculture or artisanal activities on their own farms or in their own homes. This revenue represents a major part of their total income.

Another of our values is being transparent, especially in pricing. We´re already selling our products at the lowest possible price point, then sales like Black Friday don´t really make sense. We´re technically on sale all the time.
