The Reason #10
February celebrations around the world

Dear reader
February was a busy month! This month, we had plenty of reasons to celebrate - Valentine's Day, Carnival, the Lunar New Year - even if we could do it from the comfort of our homes.
What really matters is that they're memorable and likely to create good feelings (let's stay positive!).

ALVARINHO
Alvarinho is one of Portugal's most notable white grape varieties. It's a very old, low-production grape variety that is mainly planted in the Monção and Melgaço area (Vinhos Verdes region).

It can take two distinct forms: small, slightly compact bunches with small, golden berries or medium-sized bunches with larger berries that remain greenish when ripe.
This variety is responsible for the success of the first Portuguese “monovarietal” wines (a single...

Reason #9
We know that Valentine's Day will be different this year.
On February 14, we celebrate love: be it love for someone else or why not self-love.
It's a perfect opportunity to win (or win back) someone's heart or your own. It's more than a special day, it's a moment of joy.

Heritage and history
Many of those who occupied the Alentejo region made important contributions that history has recorded, and vineyards and wine are good...

The Reason #06
dear reader,
Today's main topic goes beyond our borders... we're ending 2020 and we think it's safe to say: this has been a crazy year!
One day we'll ask ourselves: what were we doing in 2020? And the answer will probably be: mostly sitting at home.

Tejo Region
In this article we will discuss another of the Portuguese Wine Regions, namely a wine-growing region located in the center and interior of Portugal, where the art of producing wine dates back to 2000 BC, namely when the people who occupied the region began planting vines along the banks of the river that gives it its name, we refer to the River Tejo, the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula.
History tells us that the King of Portugal, Afonso Henriques, made...
