Cabernet Sauvignon.

Cabernet Sauvignon.

Cabernet Sauvignon.

It's not a typical Portuguese grape variety, but it's probably one of the most famous red grape varieties in the world.

The Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety originated in Bordeaux (France) and from there spread to the wine world, arriving in Portugal.

Some describe the variety as so special that if mankind were to set up a vineyard on the moon and need to select a first variety to test, this would be the first choice, such is its enormous adaptability and resistance to practically all adversities!

Wines made with Cabernet Sauvignon have a deep color, good tannins, slight acidity and aromas of cassis, tomato leaf, spices and cedar wood.

The wine is well-colored and rich in tannins, improving as it ages.

It is the most widespread wine grape in the world, found in all temperate and warm zones.

Some call it “the queen of red grapes”.

A difficult grape to chew, given the hardness and difficulty in bursting the fruit!

In warmer vineyards, it reveals hints of olive and blackberry, while in colder vineyards, there are hints of paprika.

In maceration, you can see that it's a very vigorous variety with medium-late fruiting, fairly upright vegetation and medium-short nodules.

Here we present yet another grape variety used in our successful wines, and we leave you with some of the best suggestions. Dare to taste!
