Happy Father's Day. Every day!

Father's Day is celebrated all over the world to recognize the contribution that fathers and father figures make to their children's lives. This day celebrates fatherhood and fathers. So we say Happy Father's Day. Every day! Although it is celebrated on various dates around the world, in Portugal, Spain and Italy Father's Day is celebrated on March 19, which is the Feast of St. Joseph, patron saint of priests.

The idea of a special day to honor fathers and celebrate fatherhood was introduced in the United States. There, a woman named Sonora Smart Dodd was inspired by the American Mother's Day celebrations to plan a day to honor fathers. In the USA, Father's Day has been celebrated in June since 1910.
