Reason #07
Reason #07
Black Friday, formerly known only as the day after Thanksgiving, is one of the biggest shopping holidays in the United States and around the world.
This year we decided that we would no longer participate in a typical Black Friday and the two main reasons are strongly related to our values:
We work mainly with small producers, in a logic of sustainability, and they are generally unable to participate in the typical price cut. A small producer manages his production activity mainly with a small business or family workforce. Most of their working time is spent on farming or craft activities on their own farms or in their own homes. This income represents the majority of their total revenue.
Another of our values is to be transparent, especially about prices and the commercial process. We're already selling our products at the lowest possible price, so sales like Black Friday don't make much sense. We're technically on sale all the time.
If you're planning to shop at Made in Portucale you can find some good deals in our Packs and Baskets section. We also invite you to check out our bestsellers and new arrivals... click here.
We wish you a happy end to 2020 and look forward to an exciting new year. Stay safe!
