There are many types of sweet wines in Portugal, such as Port, Moscatel de Setúbal, Moscatel do Douro, Madeira, Carcavelos, Licoroso dos Açores and Late Harvest.

Late Harvest, also known as “colheita tardia”, is the newest sweet wine in Portugal.

Their grapes, which are almost dry and carefully selected, are picked later, after the “normal” harvest of the other vineyards.
